The Frassati Society of Young Adult Catholics was founded as a place for young men and women (between the ages of 18-35 years old) to encourage one another to grow in holiness and live a Christian life in the midst of the modern world. We look to the patron of our society, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, for guidance in becoming young adults of the beatitudes.
Through weekly meetings, we join together in prayer, community, catechesis, service, and social outings to encourage each other in faith. Over the past six months, the Frassati Society of Kokomo has covered the topics of: Rosarium Virginis Mariae, Marian Apparitions, Common Ground (a DVD on a Catholic priest talking with a Protestant man about the Catholic Church and the Christian faith, stories on a selection of Saints, about Sacramentals, and other various topics. The society also participates in monthly Latin Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, as well as attending parish missions at both St. Joan of Arc Church and St. Patrick’s.
On certain occasions throughout the year, the Society meets up with members of other Frassati Societies in Indiana for times of fellowship, special talks and presentations, and for friendly, fun competitions. In the summer or fall, we join up with hundreds of other young adults and attend the annual Frassati Society Conference held in Lafayette, Indiana.
