AGAPE Young Adult Apostolate
AGAPE is a social community of young people ages 21-33, who desire to live a life of holiness in imitation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of the modern era.
Mission
“You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” (Mt 22:37-40)
Description
Providing the organization and structure for socially orientated events that provide an opportunity for targeted evangelical catechesis to young adults in Kokomo, for the individual and universal pursuit of holiness. Also empowering men and women with apologetic catechesis to be able to resist the assaults on this same holiness.
Through targeted “out-reach”, we seek to draw young men and women into the Apostolate, so that they not only reap the benefits that the group has to offer, but themselves become sharers in the evangelical mission of the Catholic Church, which is rooted in the beatitudes and the Social Teaching of the Church.
Our patron, model and spiritual guide is Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati who lived out his entire life doing exactly what we ourselves were created to do: love.
