This is so powerful and moving….

World renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli tells a rivoting story about a woman very close to him

This video is a powerful example of one of the ways improved technology is the pro-life movement’s friend…because, in this case, it reveals the truth.
A Christian mother cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral—a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body. The angels have not been blessed with such a grace…God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation. What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this—to be a mother?” – Cardinal Mindzenty
Let us continue to pray for the unborn and for their mothers.

What are we doing at St. Joan of Arc to witness that we as Catholics are spreading God’s word that all life is sacred ~ from conception until natural death?
Spiritually Adopt a Baby ~ On the Feast of the Holy Family we began spiritually adopting babies who are in danger of abortion. We encourage you to adopt more than 1 baby to meet our parish goal of 4000 babies ~ which is the number of babies aborted each day in the United States. We ask that you name your babies and pray the Prayer for the Unborn daily for them.
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
I love you very much.
I beg you to spare the life of
(baby’s name), the unborn baby
that I have spiritually adopted
who is in danger of abortion.”
Prayer of the late Archbishop
Fulton J. Sheen
Our babies are scheduled to be born on September 26, 2010.

Hosting the 3rd Annual Right to Life Legacy Banquet
We are very excited to announce that St. Joan of Arc will be hosting the Third Annual Howard County Legacy of Life Banquet. This is a great opportunity to continue to witness to and support the one fundamental Catholic belief that all life is sacred from conception to natural death. This year’s banquet features key note speaker: Melissa Ohden. Melissa is an abortion survivor who has survived and thrived. She is Founder and Director of For Olivia’s Sake, a non-profit organization which “seeks to peacefully raise awareness of the intergenerational impact of abortion on men, women, children, families and communities”. Melissa truly has an inspiring story to share. Bring your family and friends to the 2010 Legacy of Life banquet and experience a motivating, inspiring and challenging event that will pave the way for more life-saving ministry here in Indiana. This event is organized by the Indiana Right to Life. We do have limited seating so please contact the parish office to reserve and pay for your spot at one of our tables. Reservations need to be made by April 19th. Last year the Catholics of Kokomo represented over half of those attending. Show your support for what you believe.
