Holy Hour of Reparation for the end to Abortion
For those who cannot attend the March for Life in Washington DC, St. Joan of Arc is offering a Holy Hour of Reparation for the end to abortion on Saturday, January 22 from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Please join us for Mass at 8:15 am and stay and spend an hour with Jesus in union with him.
The more the devil labors to destroy souls, the more we shall be inflamed with desire to save them, O Heart of Jesus, zealous Lover of souls!

Spiritually Adopt a Baby
On the Feast of the Holy Family we began spiritually adopting babies who are in danger of abortion. We encourage you to adopt more than 1 baby to meet our parish goal of 4000 babies ~ which is the number of babies aborted each day in the United States. We ask that you name your babies and pray the Prayer for the Unborn daily for them.
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much.
I beg you to spare the life of (baby’s name), the unborn baby
that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”
Prayer of the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
Our babies are scheduled to be born on September 25, 2011.

2011 March For Life Pilgrimage
Saturday, January 22, 2011 marks the 38th year of the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in the United States. In 2011 and 2012, the anniversary date of Roe v. Wade decision falls on a weekend, a time when lawmakers are typically away from Washington. To ensure that the pro-life pilgrimage to our nation’s capitol has maximum impact on our elected leaders; and that the Marchers have an opportunity to visit with their Congressional delegations in order to press their pro-life message, the March for Life will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011. St. Joan of Arc and St. Patrick parishes are very blessed to have a bus of pilgrims who will participate in the March for Life.

This video is a powerful example of one of the ways improved technology is the pro-life movement’s friend…because, in this case, it reveals the truth.
A Christian mother cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral—a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body. The angels have not been blessed with such a grace…God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation. What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this—to be a mother?” – Cardinal Mindzenty
Let us continue to pray for the unborn and for their mothers.
