Some engaged couples in the parish are assigned to a sponsor couple by the priest working with them. The sponsor couple and engaged couple meet together for five sessions to address topics including communication, spirituality, finances, and raising children. The role of the sponsor couple is not to teach, but to encourage the engaged couple to address issues that will be important in their marriage and that they may not have had an opportunity to discuss.

Any couples interested in participating in the Sponsor Couple program can be trained and make themselves available as opportunities arise.
